North Ryde
Photographs by Kevin Chamberlain
The design is an example of a considered response to the surrounding context. Facades are articulated to continue the rhythm and scale of the streetscape. The selection of materials and careful construction detailing were further used to reinforce the connection to the surroundings. The corner position of the site required the established character of two adjoining streets to be brought together , and combined with the retention of the mature trees has resulted in a building with a strong sense of place.
