A cluster style village, with 10 group-homes, each with 10 single en-suite bedrooms, kitchen and living spaces. Each home has a separate entry to a public road but is also connected to a service spine with common facilities leading to a central administration and community area. The building complex was designed to cater for aging and intellectually disabledresidents previously housed on Peat Island in the Hawkesbury River. The planning and design process included extensive input from residents, families and staff. The result being a sense of residential community, destinations within the site such as picnic areas and rotunda, and provision of day activities for residents
