An alternative planning solution for the provision of affordable medium density housing in a low density area The planning and design process included extensive consultation with the Planning Department and Council to achieve a residential flat building combined with townhouses that fit in a low density residential environment. This Project demonstrate that a higher density can be achieved when carefully attention is given to the siting of buildings, the size, shape, gradient and orientation of the site and relation with the adjoining properties to present a building that would be read as of low density from the street.
